Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all Wineboy gift vouchers, whether bought online or in person. Buying or using a voucher means accepting them.

What a voucher is

• A Wineboy gift voucher holds a cash value in pounds sterling and is issued with a unique 16-character code.
• Vouchers are sold in fixed denominations. The value is shown on the voucher and in the email that carries the code.
• Vouchers are issued electronically. The code arrives by email, along with a link to a page you can print or keep on your phone.

Where you can use it

• Online at wineboy.co.uk.
• In person at our stall in Stockport Indoor Market Hall, Market Place, Stockport SK1 1ES, open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am–4:30pm.

How to redeem it

• Online: enter the 16-character code in the Gift card or discount code box at checkout.
• At the stall: show us the code on your phone or on a printout, or simply read it out. We will check the balance before completing your purchase.
• You can use a voucher across several visits. If you spend less than the full value, the remaining balance stays on the voucher.
• If your purchase costs more than the voucher balance, you can pay the difference by any method we accept.
• More than one voucher may be used on a single purchase.

Expiry

Wineboy gift vouchers do not expire. Any balance remains available until it is spent.

Age restrictions

We operate Challenge 25. Alcohol will only be sold to customers aged 18 or over, and we may ask for photographic ID before completing a sale. A gift voucher does not entitle anyone under 18 to buy alcohol. Vouchers may be spent on non-alcoholic items in our range at any age.

Cash, refunds and exchanges

• Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, in whole or in part, and no change will be given.
• If you change your mind, an unused voucher can be cancelled and refunded within 14 days of purchase. Once any part of the balance has been spent, the voucher can no longer be refunded.
• Vouchers cannot be resold.
• A voucher cannot be used to buy another gift voucher.
• If you return an item that was paid for with a voucher and we agree a refund, the refund will normally be issued back to the voucher balance rather than as cash.
• None of the above affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights in respect of faulty goods.

Looking after your voucher

• Please treat a voucher code like cash. Anyone who holds the code can spend the balance, and we cannot tell whether the person presenting it is the intended recipient.
• We are not able to replace balances spent by someone else before you told us the code had been lost or shared.
• If you lose your code, contact us with the name and email address used for the order and we will do what we can to help.
• We may cancel or void a voucher we reasonably believe has been obtained fraudulently or is being used unlawfully.

Checking your balance

The link in your original voucher email always shows the current balance. If you no longer have it, email hello@wineboy.co.uk and we will look it up for you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you buy a voucher is the version that applies to it.
